Program: Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Leavitt School of Health, Western Governors University

Program description: WGU’s Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree teaches the ins and outs of developmental psychology and the theories and practices used by today’s mental health experts to identify and treat abnormal psychology. Students gain valuable research and learning skills that help you create evidence-based strategies that address real psychosocial issues. Part of this psychology program includes realistic experiences as a professional in a team setting via virtual simulation. This psychology degree program prepares students for lifelong learning by helping them develop vital research, analysis, and communication skills that will benefit them in any career they choose. Students will also gain discipline-specific knowledge and skills as they delve deeper into cognitive psychology, health psychology, social psychology, neuropsychology, and other psychological areas of study.

Modality: The B.S. Psychology program is an all-online program that students complete by studying and working independently with instruction and support from WGU faculty.

My role on the project: As the Senior Lead Educational Product Designer, I led a cross-functional design team to determine the program curriculum, courses, assessments, technology tools, and learning design strategies.

Impact: B.S. in Psychology is one of the fastest growing degree programs at WGU and serves thousands of students nationwide.
